Description
20" x 13" (51 x 33 cm). A very elaborate arrangement is garnished with gold-plated ornaments and oval mirror with beveled edge and etched design above a maroon velvet tufted cushion. There are six additional trapezoid shaped mirrors symbolizing perfect harmony, twelve grape leaves with grapes symbolizing abundance and prosperity, ten marguerite daisies, and four sheaths of wheat. The bride's coronet is arranged at the front of the cushion and centers the wedding cake "pain de mie" bride and groom ornament. The entire arrangement sits upon an oval wooden base under a blown glass dome. French, circa 1895.
