20" x 14" (51 x 36 cm). A 22-karat richly gold plated arrangement features a rectangular frame surrounded by gilded morning glory flowers and leaves, and surmounted by a fancy crest. The arrangement centers a blue velvet cushion resting in a garland and tassel designed frame, with two unusual curved oval mirrors at the side above gilded daisies, and a three rectangular mirrors in front highlighted by elegant gilded scrollwork with teardrop tassels. A small rectangular mirror at the front has elaborate 22-karat gold plated designs above and below, and there are two final oval mirrors at the front feet. There is a total of eight mirrors, each with beveled edge. An unusual accessory is a very fine urn-shaped perfume bottle with chain that was likely worn by the bride on her wedding day. Very generous bouquets of wax orange blossoms and a bride's beautiful coronet rests on the cushion. The entire arrangement sits upon an eight-sided wooden base with tufted blue velvet floor, with eight-sided blown glass dome. French, circa 1890.
