Description
15" (38 cm). A leather-covered wooden box with padded silk lining hinges open at the center to reveal an unusual curved glass display box with velvet covered display mount. Arranged on the velvet is a delicate bridal coronet of tiny wax orange blossoms with richly detailed clusters of blossoms at each side. There is also a matching blossom spray for trimming the gown, and several family mementoes added over the years including an early photograph of the young groom in wedding suit and top hat, and a fragment of lace, presumably from wedding gown, along with antique cameo brooch. There are two repair lines on the glass dome which otherwise has beautifully preserved the arrangment. French, circa 1875.
