An elegant presentation features an oval red velvet tufted cushion encircled by a very intricate gilded border, centered by round mirrors with beaded borders at either side, and with three oval mirrors with beveled edge at the front. There are also three mirrors at the base, two with urn-shaped pendant drops, and there is a center panel with family crest designs flanked by gargoyles. A pair of chain link tassels, chatelaine style, dangle from either side of the crest. Arranged on the velvet cushion is an extraordinary bridal coronet of wax orange blossoms, a matching bouquet spray for wearing across the gown bodice, and the bride's pair of hand-knit fingerless gloves worn on her wedding day. The entire arrangement sits upon an oval wooden base under a blown glass dome. French, circa 1885.
