Description
10" (26 cm). An unusual table top vitrine with slanted glass front having very wide beveled edge, glass sides, silk tufted back and base, metal balustrade at the crest and fancy curved feet, preserves a lovely wax orange blossom coronet and matching spray. An unusual brooch medallion is pinned to the coronet with an engraving of a young bride on one side, and an engraving of a nun on the other side. The significance is unknown. An intriguing presentation with some fading of rose silk, and one flaw to inside of front glass at upper left corner. French, circa 1890.
