Description
15" (38 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, feathered lashes and brows, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid-over-wooden fully articulated body with dowel-jointing, bisque forearms and lower legs, bare feet. The doll is wearing a lovely ivory silk satin wedding gown with opalescent bead trim, undergarments, veil with orange blossoms, undergarments, shoes and stockings. The doll, in excellent condition, is marked "2" on head and shoulders, and has original paper label from the prestigious 19th century Paris store Maison Giroux. Circa 1865.
