Description
21" x 14" (53 x 36 cm). An elaborate arrangement centering around a red velvet tufted cushion with gilt frame includes ten mirrors of various shapes, the central mirror with hand-painted designs. There are ten daisies symbolizing love, ten unusual leaves with centered berries, dove with wreath of harmony, and elaborate scrolls and crests. There are a number of white hand-pressed and formed bisque flowers of various types, and resting upon the cushion is a lovely coronet of wax orange blossoms. The arrangement is on an ebony-finished base under glass dome. French, circa 1890.
