Description

20" x 11" (51 x 28 cm). A delicate arrangement with gold-plated symbols encircling a rose velvet tufted cushion. Symbols include dove with wreath of harmony, leaves, and daisies. There are two rectangular mirrors. Highlighting the arrangement are two large white open-petal bisque roses that are hand-pressed and individually arranged and tinted, along with 11 small bisque flowers. Arranged on the cushion is a delicate coronet of opalescent and silver glass beads, and a spray of wax orange blossom flowers. A vintage photograph of a young child is likely the daughter of the wedding couple added at a later day. The entire arrangement is on an ebony-finished wooden base under a blown glass dome. French, circa 1910.
