Description
16" x 12" (41 x 31 cm). A red velvet tufted cushion centers the delicate arrangement, with six- pointed star behind, composed of two ruby-glass panels and four mirrors in diamond shape. An elaborately scrolled framework attaches a winged dove, and there are four daisies symbolizing love, ivy leaves, and two gold-plated anchors. Bisque petals are sprinkled throughout. A wax orange blossom coronet rests on the velvet cushion, and the entire arrangement is posed on an ebony-wooden base under glass dome. French, circa 1900.
