20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face suggesting older child, painted brown eyes in deeply-defined sockets, thick upper eyeliner, modeled creases under the eyes, one-stroke delicate brows, slightly upturned nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth, very full lips enhanced by shading and delicate glaze, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique folklore costume and coiffe, undergarments, wooden shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 150 S&H 2. Comments: Simon and Halbig from their rare art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: exceptional quality of sculpting especially around the eyes and mouth depicts a slightly older child with intelligent gaze, finest bisque and painting on the very rare model.
