Description

Standing upon a velvet covered wooden base is a bisque-head doll with blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms. She holds a maple wood baton in her right hands, and a rose-silk covered drum in her left hand. She wears a pale green silk dress with rose silk ribbons, to match the drum, with lace and silver bead trim, matching bonnet and shoes. The doll is marked Depose Tete Jumeau, and the key is marked L.B.

Movements: she turns her head from side to side, nods, taps the drum with the baton, then moves the drum to another position. Music plays. Circa 1895.
