Description
A beautifully finished box with lacquered engraving on the lid in the Vernis Martin manner depicting a romanticized forest scene, has black ebonized sides, metal turning handle with porcelain knob. The underside has paper label indicating two tunes, Martha Duet, and Le Baiser Valse. The quality of the music is especially fine and strong for this small object. Cica 1850.
