Description

Housed in a wooden rectagular case bearing a quiver and tambourine decal on the lid and a colorful tune program card in the inside lid, the musical box has a 28-note movement with tune indicator, and plays ten tunes including the Doria Mazurka, Uncle Reilly, Since Kate learnt how to Play, and the riveting Faust Up to Date. The tunes are all listed on the program card that is numbered 78106.

Historical References: The system branded as Columbia was patented by Paillard in 1894 although the Paillard family had been making musical boxes in Ste-Croix some 80 years before. Circa 1895.
