Description
A heavy box with gold-plated anfular corners and feet has richly embossed blue enamel finish with gold-plated scross and flowers. The oval center lid has two golden love doves and opens to a gold-filigree bed with bird-shaped insert for the colorfully-feathered bird that pops up. The bird turns side to side, flutters its wings, and opens and closes its beak while chirping, trilling, and singing. There is a narrow cigarette drawer at a bottom, and an elaborate gold-plated key. Circa 1950s.
