30" (76 cm.) x 24". Oil painting on canvas depicts a young girl with center-parted brown hair formed into tiny finger curls at the sides of her forehead, beautifully painted face with large brown eyes, and wearing a white high-waisted dress with striped silk sash, holding a dainty pink rose. The canvas is re-backed, and there are some light scuffs on the painting, but overall very good. English, early 1800s, a charming presentation of young girl with grown-up detail of facial features.
