Description

Standing upon a velvet covered wooden platform behind her lace-draped toilette table is a bisque-head doll. She has blue glass eyes, open mouth, porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, carton torso and legs, and bisque hands. She wears a bronze silk gown with lace overlay and tiny bead trim, lace bonnet, and holds a puff in her right hand and a mirror in her left hand. The dressing table has a hinged mirror, and holds an assortment of fashion necessities including perfume bottle, combs and brushes. The doll is marked SFBJ Paris Tete Jumeau 1. The key is marked LB.

Movements: She turns her head from side to side, nods, lifts her right hand as though to powder her nose, then lifts her left hand as though to gaze into the mirror. Music plays. Circa 1905.
