21". Bisque swivel-head on bisque shoulder plate with golden-sienna tinted complexion depicts an older girl, having painted facial features, brown eyes, full lips, black human hair in delicate braids, cloth body with bisque lower arms and legs, bare feet. The girl is carrying a bisque- head baby with painted features. Each doll wears original artist-made costume of with superb detail of fabrics and construction, and the girl carries a spool of flax for weaving and a hand- woven carpet. The doll is marked "Sylvia Natterer 1989 NS 5". The doll was handmade and costumed by the artist in 1989, and is a stunningly beautiful work of art.
