Portrait in fima of child with slender angular face tilted slightly sideways, elongated throat, auburn mohair wig with looped braids, brown glass side-glancing eyes, eye shadow, delicate freckles, closed mouth, muslin torso, wax limbs, expressive fingers, molded white socks, and pink one-strap shoes, artist-made tulle dress with double tiered ruffles, felt hat with flower trim, silk petticoat and pantalets, signed "Edna Daly 1983". Creating dolls for more than two decades, the artist has worked in fima, porcelain and wax over porcelain. Her smaller dolls, as this, are among her rarest.
