Description
17". Having pressed felt character features, pointy nose, brown painted eyes set into deep sockets, thick black upper eyeliner, grey lower eyeliner. Gretchen has brown mohair wig in long braids. She is jointed at shoulders and hips, and wears a white dotted cotton blouse, green felt skirt, brown felt vest, tan apron, shawl, petticoat, brown woolen leggings, black felt shoes with pom-poms, black felt cap with cutouts and scalloped edging, and carries a wooden crook trimmed with felt flowers. The doll has Wright stamp on its foot, paper label on wrist with Vermont address and name "Gretchen" and NIADA certificate indicating the doll is "Gretchen, Swiss Shepheress", model G-2, and was produced in 1981, #14/250.
