Description
6". Having pressed felt head with classic Kewpie features, sculpted topknot curl, painted side- glancing eyes, blue felt wings, jointed limbs. Kewpie wears only a large green felt sailor's cap with black silk banding labeled RJW Club, and carries a 2 1/2" brown jointed teddy bear with swivel head and jointed limbs. There is a red paper heart on Kewpie's chest and a paper label on back "Kewpie & Teddy, #203". Both Kewpie and Teddy have RJW brass buttons, and they are contained in original labeled box with certificate of authenticity. The set was released in 1999/2000 exclusively for members of the R. John Wright Collectors Club; only 520 sets were produced.
