Description
15" - 17". Two dolls of hand-pressed porcelain represent Josephine and Napoleon of France. She has sculpted brown hair with detailed ringlet curls and painted tendrils of curls around the forehead, gold crown and elaborate gold and jade jewelry, modeled throat hollow and bosom, porcelain lower arms and legs, gold sandaled feet with petal decorations, and wears an elegant gown. He has very detailed sculpting of darkened complexion, modeled hat with glazed black and gold colors, impasto edging to simulate ribbons, sculpted upper jacket, porcelain hands and lower legs, painted white stockings and black shoes, and wears authentically tailored uniform. They are hand-signed "Napoleon" or "Josephine" and each doll has Redmond signature logo.
