Description
17". Having pressed felt character features with wide beaming smile, broad nose bridge, brown side- glancing eyes set into deep sockets, deep crinkles under the eyes, cloth-sculpted ears. Mario has black hair with long sideburns and a full black moustache. He is jointed at shoulders and hips, and wears a white dotted cotton shirt, plaid trousers, maroon felt vest with silver buttons, brown brimmed cap and black leather shoes. He holds a cigar. The doll has Wright stamp on its foot and paper label on wrist with Vermont address, hand-lettered "Mario". The model appeared as A1 in early ads and was produced in 1977 and 1978 only.
