Carved wooden head with expressive laughing features, painted blue eyes, mouth carved as though open with row of painted teeth, flower-printed fabric body, carved wooden hands and bare feet, blonde wig, cotton jumper, homespun blouse, pantalets, signed ""c. 1986 Nancy P. Bruns 85 Lucie Maple" on head, Brunswood Doll and Lucie cloth tags on dress, original paper booklet. The Ohio artist, Nancy Bruns hand-carved and painted each of her dolls of fine native woods, Lucie being made of maple wood.
