Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of elderly man, brown sculpted hair brushed forward onto the receding crown, sculpted ears, enamel eyes, furrowed brows, closed mouth, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted yellow stockings and black shoes, wearing fine silk embroidered costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Well-rendered stern dignity of expression, rare hair style.
