Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, brown eyes, softly blushed features, painted lashes, eyeliner, nostrils, and mouth, brunette curly mohair wig, jointed felt arms and legs, wearing blue cotton romper suit with white collar, socks, white felt shoes, artist- signed "Wright" on foot, original paper label "R. John Wright Little Children Series I William" with ink-signed notation "W3-1/250", in original labeled box "w-3", with NIADA certificate of authenticity, and with hand-written note by R. John Wright noting "Congratulations, you are the lucky owner of the very first William ever made". William was released in 1981, from a numbered edition of 250.
