16". Brown-complexioned bisque doll, brown glass eyes, closed mouth with painted teeth, black tightly curled hair with narrow braids, wooden carved body with jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, bisque hands, wearing calico print cotton dress with diamond-patterned borders and large hair bow, and owning a beautiful miniature quilt with folk-art hand-dyed designs along with wooden frame for display. The doll also owns woolen pleated skirt, burgundy corduroy skirt, two hand-knitted vests, and Irish knit cardigan The doll is marked 79/350 Lawton 1996, and has hang tag and certificate of authenticity "Fabrics of America Series, Zudie's Coverlet". Dress and quilt have Wendy Lawton cloth labels. Original box included.
