Description

15" - 16". Two dolls of hand-pressed porcelain represent the last emperor and empress of Mexico. She has long flowing brown ringlet curls low onto her shoulders and topped by a gold crown studded with green jade stone, gold link necklaces and gold edged bodice, porcelain lower arms and legs, black painted shoes, and wears rich gilt brocade and lace gown. He has majestically graying hair, parted at the center, with long sideburns, moustache and flowing beard, sculpted white shirt with black bow and gold royal symbol, and wears red and cream regimental uniform with gold braid, carries sceptre. They are hand- signed "Maximilian" or "Carlotta" and each doll has Redmond signature logo.
