Description
9" doll. Having bisque socket head, very dark blue inset eyes, closed mouth, blonde human hair wig, all- wooden fully-articulated body with bisque swivel- wrist hands, wearing blue silk dress with applique flowers, pantalets, black leggings, kidskin ankle boots, and arranged in book-shaped fabric-lined box along with blue coat, flowered apron, straw hat and flower-filled basket, nest of robin's eggs, pots, watering can. The doll is incised "Lawton 2000" and numbered 78/175. A certificate of authenticity is included in the box, and the doll has hang tag indicating "Lawton Library Collection" and original storage box. A copy of the book, The Secret Garden, is included. The doll was made in 2000 in an edition of 175.
