20". Bisque head on bisque shoulder plate with rich brown complexion, eyes painted as though sleeping, slightly open mouth with tongue tip, blushed cheeks, black mohair wig with cloth ribbons, cloth body, bisque lower arms and legs, wearing red checkered cotton dress under pinafore, undergarments, black stockings, leather shoes, and holding wooden knitting needles and half-finished scarf, posed seated on green wooden ladder back chair with pot belly stove and basket of yarn. The doll is signed "1989 Patricia Wall 13/30",and has original certificate of authenticity. Included is a November 1989 note from the artist with a colorful print of the original early 20th century lithograph "Woman's Work is Never Done" which inspired the doll. The doll was made in 1989 in an edition of 30.
