14" (35 cm.) Solid domed carved wooden head with cut-out eye sockets, carved ears, painted shaded brown hair, blue sleep eyes, accented lips of closed mouth, original muslin Bye-lo body with celluloid hands, wearing antique blue muslin baby dress. Condition: generally excellent, nose and ear rubs, original finish. Comments: designed by Harry Schoenhut in 1925 after the popular bisque Bye-lo; the model was never actually put into production making existing models very rare. Value Points: rare Schoenhut doll with fine original complexion, costume appears to be Schoenhut made.
