16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with deeply carved braids brought to back of head and captured with blue carved bow, intaglio brown painted eyes with large black pupils and white eye dots, short brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, all-wooden spring-jointed body with holes in feet for positioning. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan.17, 1911 USA Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1912. Value Points: most appealing model has fine original patina, wears original Schoenhut dress, knit teddy, black knit stockings, and black oxfords with original holes in soles.
