Pressed bisque socket head, large luminous blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, dark brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space beween the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 10 J (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885, the model was made for one year only. Value Points: especially fine quality of sculpting with deeply impressed facial features, choice bisque and painting, original earrings, chemise, Jumeau socks, Jumeau aqua silk shoes with silk rosettes signed "E. Jumeau 10 Med. D'Or Paris Depose 1878", superb original finish on early body.
