Thick paste porcelain shoulder head with slight pink shading, brown sculpted hair in elaborately sculpted wings of curls at side of head, captured at the back with a black modeled snood trimmed with two gilt-edged white bows, and topped by a green decorative comb, painted pale blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, brown single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with well- detailed painting of lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, wearing lovely antique gown, undergarments, leather slippers. Condition: nickel-sized triangular chip at front right sew hole (hidden under costume). Marks: Vll (front shoulder plate. Comments: attributed to Gera, circa 1870.
