Description
20" (51 cm.) Wooden framed washstand with bottom shelf and attached towel bars has original white painted finish and is fitted with an oval wash bowl and matching pitcher and accessories made of softpaste or faience with decorated pastel childhood scenes in the Kate Greenaway manner. The pottery is marked "Lavabo-Bebe U&C". Excellent condition. French, circa 1890, the U&C Sarreguemine firm created softpaste pottery dishes and decorative objects at the end of the 1800s.
