Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, hand-tied brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French all- wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel- jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, swivel-jointed wrists, extra-pivot joint at upper arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent, body finish original albeit finish flaked and worn. Marks: 4. Comments: attributed to Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful face and bisque, rare wooden body, original silk gown (frail on bodice) with extended train, unusual laced back, undergarments, red kid slippers, tulle wrap, fancy bonnet.
