Porcelain shoulder head with rounded child like modeling, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body, porcelain arms to above the elbows, antique brown taffeta gown, undergarments, velvet bonnet, stockings, black leather slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 F (or E). Comments: French, circa 1860. Value Points: very elegant presence of the early poupee, complexion enhanced with delicate pink tinting that complements the cobalt blue eyes, original sturdy body with porcelain arms, beautifully sculpted fingers.
