Description
15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted blonde hair with slightly modeled details around the sides of forehead, blue intaglio sculpted small eyes with heavy modeled eyelids, brush stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: DI 4 (incised) Ges Geschutz Germany C & Co (green stamp). Comments: Swaine & Co, circa 1915. Value Points: very fine details of sculpting accents the excellent quality of bisque, great antique costume.
