13" (33 cm.) Wax over paper mache shoulder head, sculpted brown hair enclosed within white snood and topped with an attached black paper mache Welsh hat, black enamel inset eyes, tiny closed mouth, muslin body, wooden lower limbs, black painted stockings and shoes. Condition: very good, some wax fading, paper mache damaged at back of hat. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: the doll wears her original costume comprising wool and cotton petticoats, plaid woolen skirt, blouse, two aprons, tall hat, and a tiny thimble in the pocket of apron inscribed "For a Good Girl".
