19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with slender face and elongated throat, brown sculpted hair with elaborate clusters of curls at either side of forehead captured by a pink modeled bow with gilt edging, large curls at the back of the head, partially modeled pierced ears, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, sculpted Dresden ruffled pink collar edged with sculpted white and gold beads, painted blue patterned bodice, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms, costumed in lovely aqua taffeta gown with pink edging. Condition: generally excellent, one ribbon streamer on hair is broken off. Comments: attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1875. Value Points: extravagant decoration includes rare brown Dresden trimmed hair and bodice, glass eyes.
