Thick paste porcelain shoulder head, black sculpted hair with wide center part, casually arranged short curls over all the head with scalloped details around the edges, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, painted upper and lower lashes, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with hint of smile, accent line between the lips, muslin stitch- jointed body, porcelain arms to above the elbows, antique costume with muslin lining having old advertising for feed sack, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: very beautiful doll with gleaming patina of porcelain, brilliant blue eyes, early body and costume.
