16" (41 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with rounded childlike face, black sculpted hair in center part with uniform finger curls behind the sculpted ears, black enamel glass inset eyes, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, antique dress, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: rarer glass eyes, well- preserved original finish.
