10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with darkened complexion, bald pate except tuft of hair at back of scalp, tinted hair stubble, sculpted curly beard and moustache, furrowed lines, curved brows, open mouth with defined tongue tip and teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted wrinkled green stockings and yellow slippers, wearing original silk costume with lined jacket, striped vest, harem pants, padded turban, and carrying pipe. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
