15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with two different faces (one smiling with blue glass eyes and closed mouth, row of tiny painted teeth; one crying with fretful brows, blue glass eyes, closed mouth in "O" expression with sculpted tongue) composition body with jointed arms and legs, with attached paper mache hood that hides the face not in play, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, crier not working. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: highly characterized features on the doll with original costume.
