28" (71 cm.) Very pale pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, upturned lip corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, old muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower limbs with well-sculpted fingers, antique ivory satin gown, undergarments, rose silk bonnet, leather boots. Condition: very faint small hairline on left side of throat, two fingers restored on left hand. Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1868; this Jumeau model head has appeared frequently enough on bodies of this type to indicate that the head had been sold separately originally. Value Points: gorgeous doll with superior quality of bisque, sculpting and painting.
