Description
17" (44 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with slightly rounded face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair with wide poufs at sides of head and eight narrow rolled-over braids forming a coronet and held by modeled comb at the back, glass inset eyes, painted features, slender kid body, wooden limbs, painted blue shoes, antique dress. Condition: very good, some early touch-up on face, feet repaired. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare early glass-eyed model with fancy coiffure.
