Description
16" (42 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with slightly pink tinted complexion, sculpted brown hair in elaborate curls with white modeled bow at top of head, sculpted ears, modeled downcast eyes with heavy eye lids, blue painted eyes, high arched brows, closed mouth, canvas stitch-jointed body, porcelain hands, costumed. Condition: generally excellent, left baby finger reglued, tiny chip on knuckle of right forefinger. Marks: 399W. Comments: maker uncertain, possibly Goebel, circa 1900. Value Points: rare doll with beautifully sculpted hair and unique facial expression.
