5" (13 cm.) Of fine porcelain with delicately pink-tinted complexion, portraying an adult lady with slender oval face, strong elongated throat, brown painted and sculpted hair in deep waves looped away from head and over the ears into a coiled bun at the back of head, modeled bosom, painted facial features, large blue upper glancing eyes, red eyeliner, black painted brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth. Condition: generally excellent, two small paint flakes on hair at forehead. Marks: KPM (red orb symbol), and KPM (and blue symbol) lll (incised). Comments: Konigliche Porzellanmanufaktur (KPM), circa 1838. Value Points: extremely rare early porcelain doll head with maker's marks.
