Description
10" (25 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with black sculpted hair in short curls waved behind the sculpted ears, black enamel glass "flirty" eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line. Condition: very good, some possible long-ago retouch to hair. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: wonderful large head with well- functioning flirty eyes (the interesting mechanism visible from underside of head); along with an early tiny paper mache taufling baby of rare-to-find bazaar quality, in fine original condition.
