18" (46 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with slight pink tinted complexion, oval face, elongated throat, black hair with center part, stippling details around the face, waved loosely away to back of head and captured in a braided chignon, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with white space between the accented lips, blushed cheeks, early muslin stitch-jointed body, antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, few small paint rubs at back of hair. Comments: Germany, circa 1865, the model is often considered a portrait of the Swedish singer, Jenny Lind. Value Points: beautiful doll with lustrous porcelain, fine definition of hair modeling.
