12" (31 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, brunette mohair wig with side and crown coiled braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 184 (head) Made for G.A. Schwartz Philadelphia (paper label on torso). Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, the doll was sold in the prestigious Philadelphia toy shop of G.A, Schwartz, brother of F.A.O. in New York. Value Points: wonderfully preserved little pouty doll has superb body and body finish, original store label, antique shoes and socks, antique dainty dress and undergarments.
